A few years ago, I overheard a few Europeans joking about how all Americans were fat and lazy and in all honesty, they’re not far from the truth…well on somethings. Truth is America is the hardest working country in the world, but fattest developed country according to the video, with 2 in every 3 people being overweight. This is troubling.

I find this video interesting because it creates a conversation on the political nature of nutrition. Will it be possible to somehow move around the political restrictions or no?

A balanced diet looks a little something like this. Eating healthy doesn’t mean eating plain.
Many nutrition blogs boast healthy eating, but don’t delve into why having a balanced diet and eating healthy is beneficial to your long term health and happiness. They may not delve into why certain ‘healthy’ processed foods are harmful to your health (they are loaded with additives and chemicals). Or why you might feel sluggish after eating tofu (a possible food allergen). Or why consuming too much Vitamin E could be detrimental to your health.
